Remarks:

15 years of teaching experience as a tutor for primary and secondary school students. I was an experienced MOE teacher in a secondary school and am currently a full time tutor. I teach English, Math, A Math, Pure Chemistry and Pure Physics. I have been awarded outstanding contribution award in 2018 for good teaching practices for English and have conducted teacher-led workshops at a National level for MOE teachers in various schools.

I was a top student from Hwa Chong Institution who achieved multiple As in O levels and A levels. I achieved straight As for all subjects including Math, A math, Pure Physics, Pure chemistry and English in O levels. I also achieved A for Math, Chemistry, Physics and B for general paper in JC.

In my years of teaching, I have maintained a passing rate of 100% for English, mathematics, A Math and sciences in the classes that I teach. There is also a high distinction rate for my students. There is an improvement of at least 2 grades.

Currently, I have 3 Secondary 4 O level tutees and they have all improved by at least 2 grades since tuition. I am a part time lecturer at Kaplan as well teaching a class of 30 foreign students and preparing them for O level English exams. I have also been a O level exam invigilator for 5 years so I am very experienced in preparing students to do well for their oral exams.

I use engaging pedagogy and questioning techniques to help students understand and love the subject. Many real life examples will be given to help students see the connection with what they learn to the working world. Experienced in teaching low progress learners and stretching high progress learners to achieve As. There are focused drill and practice sessions with other school papers provided as practice in order to prepare the students well for their exams.

I have been the level coordinator of at the lower secondary and upper secondary levels so I am aligned with the current moe syllabus, practices and pedagogy.
